Visiting our website

This website uses cookies and similar technologies, which are small files or pieces of text that download to a device when a visitor accesses a website. Cookies help us to improve our services and products and to provide a better customer experience. They do not allow us to gain control of your computer in any way.

They allow Squarespace, our hosting platform, to run this website securely and to protect and improve its platform and services. They are required for navigating and using key features on our site. For example, they allow the Shopping Cart feature to work. These cookies cannot be used to personally identify you. 

Analytics and performance cookies are used only when you acknowledge our cookie banner. We use analytics and performance cookies to view site traffic and to collect information on how you interact with our site, including:

  • Web pages you visited and keywords you searched prior to arriving at our website

This data is collected and analysed by Squarespace. We are partnered with Google Search Console who collect and analyse data regarding keyword searches. It is anonymous and aggregated and cannot be used to personally identify you. We use this data to evaluate and improve our products and services.

Checkout 

When you make a purchase, we ask you to provide personal information so that we can fulfil your order. This information includes your:

  • Name

  • Billing and shipping addresses

  • Email address

  • Telephone number

  • Details about your order (e.g. ring size)

Your name, addresses, email address, and telephone number are all required to verify that you are authorised to make your transaction. We need details about your order to send you the correct products. We use your name and shipping address to send your order to you. We use your email address to send order and shipment confirmation emails. We also send a brief post-purchase customer survey through the third-party app Delighted. You cannot opt out of these emails. We may also use your email address or telephone number to contact you about your order or respond to any queries you might have. Unless you have signed up to our mailing list, you will not receive promotional emails. This information is shared with Squarespace who collect your information and send you emails on our behalf.

We also ask for your payment information in order to complete your order. Your payment information is processed via third party eCommerce Payment Processors Stripe or PayPal, depending on your choice of payment, in accordance with their terms and policies. We pass your payment information directly via an encrypted connection to Stripe or PayPal for them to process the transaction. We don’t collect or store your payment information, and it is not accessible to either us or Squarespace.

Queries

You may choose to email us directly or to fill out our query form here. We ask that you provide your name and email address so that we can respond to your query directly. Aside from this, any additional information you provide is entirely voluntary. Please exercise caution before volunteering any sensitive information. Unless you have signed up to our mailing list, you will not receive promotional emails.

Signing up to our mailing list 

If you choose to subscribe to our mailing list, the data you provide will allow us to send you promotional materials tailored to your personal preferences, to ask you to fill out customer surveys, or to invite you to join contests and other promotions. This data includes your:

  • email address

  • online behaviour (e.g. your level of engagement with email marketing)

  • activity regarding our emails (e.g. the rate at which you open our emails or click our links)

This information is used to analyse and improve our services and to provide tailored marketing and advertising. This information is collected, analysed and shared with Mailchimp, our email marketing provider. 

If you do not wish to sign up to our mailing list, leave unchecked any boxes that ask you to subscribe when filling out forms on our website. If you have signed up before but change your mind, feel free to contact us via email and we will erase your data from our system. Alternatively, you can unsubscribe to email campaigns by clicking unsubscribe at the bottom of any email from us.

Celtic Design is committed to securing your data. Our policies are in line with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We will work to prevent data theft, unauthorised access, and disclosure by implementing the latest technologies and software to safeguard all the information we collect online. We will not lease, sell or distribute your personal information to any third parties without your express permission. We might do so only if needed to comply with law enforcement.
