1. General

  1. “We” (“our”, “us”) are “Celtic Design Limited”, “Celtic Design Ltd”, “Celtic Design” or “Celtic Design Scotland”. We are registered in the UK (company number: SC266998) and our registered office and main trading address is 156 Canongate, Edinburgh EH8 8DD, UK.

  2. “You” (“your”, “yours”) are the “customer”, “user”, “visitor”, “client”, or “recipient”.

  3. This page contains the terms and conditions which govern the use of our online services, including this website and our social media accounts, as well as the commerce of our products. By using our website, you accept these terms.

  4. We reserve the right to revise the Terms & Conditions at our discretion without prior notification, with such revisions taking effect immediately at the time posted. It is your responsibility to review the Terms & Conditions every time you visit our website.

  5. These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Scots and EU law and the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Scotland.

2. Products & Services

  1. All our jewellery is made from 925 Sterling Silver, or 92.5% silver. Sterling Silver is an alloy; therefore, our jewellery may contain traces of nickel and other metals. We will not be found liable in the unlikely event of an allergic reaction.

  2. We reserve the right to remove products and edit product information at our discretion. In the case of product amendment, any products already purchased will not be affected.

  3. We strive for our photographs and product descriptions to accurately reflect the actual product. However, we cannot guarantee that any description or photograph is entirely complete, accurate, current or error-free. Our photographs may make products appear larger or smaller than their actual size. Our photographs are not scaled; therefore, it is not possible to size one product by comparing its photograph to the photograph of another product. Image quality, colouring, and dimensions can vary depending on technical reasons beyond our control, such as the web browser or device you use. The gemstones and leaves we use are natural and so the colours and patterns of the product you receive will vary from the item photographed on our website.

3. Prices & Payment

  1. Prices stated on our products are in Great British Pound Sterling / GBP / £. Currency exchange rates are at the discretion of your bank or payment provider.

  2. Prices stated are inclusive of UK VAT, but do not include shipping costs. Shipping costs are displayed at checkout when choosing your delivery option and are at that point added to the total bill.

  3. We reserve the right to edit prices at our discretion. Any changes to prices while your order is in progress will not affect your order.

  4. While we endeavour for all prices to be correct, some may be incorrectly priced. We will normally progress with your purchase, even if the price incorrectly stated is lower than the correct price. However, we are under no obligation to complete your order if the pricing error is obvious or should otherwise have reasonably been recognised by you as mis-pricing.

  5. We accept payment from PayPal and most major credit and debit cards, details of which are available when checking out. Your credit card, debit card or PayPal account will be charged between the time you place your order and when your order is dispatched.

4. Orders, Shipping & Returns

A. Orders

  1. By placing an order, you warrant that you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts and that you are at least 18 years old.

  2. By placing an order, you confirm that the PayPal account, credit card or debit card used is yours or that you have been specifically authorised to use it.

  3. All orders are subject to our acceptance and we reserve the right, at our absolute discretion, to reject any order without providing reason. In the event of rejection, we will cancel or refund any payments in full via the payment method used to place the order. We are not liable for any damages, losses or expenses incurred as a result of us rejecting your order, and we have no obligation to provide compensation other than to refund the amount paid for the order in question.

  4. Once you have placed your order, you cannot amend or cancel your order. If you have not received confirmation of shipment and you wish to amend or cancel your order, please email us and we will try to do this for you. However, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to amend or cancel your order before dispatch.

  5. We will dispatch all orders within three working days of receiving payment, unless circumstances beyond our control prevent us from doing so (see clause 9.1). If we fail to dispatch on time, you are entitled to cancel or return your order and receive a full refund. We can also provide you with a 20% discount to express our apologies.

B. Shipping

  1. For orders to a UK address, you can choose to have your order delivered via Royal Mail 1st class or Royal Mail Special Delivery, and you will be able to make this choice at checkout. For addresses outside of the UK, all orders are handled by Royal Mail Tracked & Signed (Europe or International, depending on your location) and are passed onto the relevant national postal systems once outside the UK.

  2. If you have not received your order within 30 days of shipment confirmation, please email us, so that we may take steps to raise concerns with Royal Mail and, if appropriate, claim for compensation. If we are successful at making a claim, then we will email you to organise resending your order. For international orders, we can only do so if the order is Tracked & Signed.

  3. We are not liable for the delay or failure of delivery if such delay or failure is the result of circumstances beyond our control (see clause 9.1); as a result of incorrect information provided by the customer, such as an invalid address; or as a result of country-specific procedures such as customs clearance.

  4. In the case of delay or failure of delivery due to our negligence or breach of our statutory duty, you are entitled to request a refund or exchange. In the case of failure to deliver, you can also request that we resend your order. We can also provide you with a 20% discount to express our apologies.

  5. We cannot provide you with delivery updates or proof of delivery other than a tracking number (if your order is Tracked & Signed) which can be found in your shipment confirmation email. This tracking number is the only access we have to the progress of your order.

  6. We cannot guarantee that delivery instructions will be followed.

  7. We reserve the right, at our discretion, to use a different delivery method without prior notification.

  8. You may be subject to import tax, custom duties and fees levied when your order reaches the country specified in your delivery address. It is your responsibility to comply with the importation laws and regulations of your country.

C. Returns

  1. If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase (e.g. incorrect size), please email us within 30 days of receiving your order and we will organise a refund or an exchange. If the product you received is faulty, please include a picture of the fault in your email.

  2. Returned products must be in the same condition it was received in and secured within its original packaging. We advise that you use a service that requires a signature, as we are unable to provide refunds or exchanges for items lost in transit. Please mail all returned packages to:

  3. Once we receive the returned package and can confirm that the items are in the expected condition, we will issue you with a refund or exchange and notify you by email. It may take banks an additional 3-7 days to refund your card.

  4. We cannot issue refunds or exchanges for items damaged by accident, mishandling, misuse, or if you have been in possession of your item(s) for longer than 30 days.

  5. Due to hygiene reasons, we are unable to accept returns or provide exchanges for studs or earrings, unless they are faulty.

  6. For products purchased as part of a sale or discounted offer, we can only provide a refund or exchange at a price equivalent to the amount paid for the product including the discount.

5. Discounts, Offers & Giveaways

  1. At our discretion, from time to time, we may offer discounts, discounted products, special offers, or giveaways.

  2. Offers are only valid from the time they are promoted until 11:59pm of the end date. The end date will be stated along with the offer using the terms “valid until”, “expires on” or “offer only till”. Offers cannot be used for purchases made before the introduction date or after the end date. If an offer does not include an end date, it will run for as long as it is publicly advertised. We reserve the right to withdraw offers at our discretion without prior notice.

  3. We reserve the right, at our discretion, to offer personalised offers for individual customers. Only the customer(s) in receipt of the special offer can avail of the discount. Sharing discount codes to those who are expressly not the intended recipient(s), whether privately or publicly, is not allowed and may result in the rejection of orders made using the discount code or the withdrawal of the offer.

  4. Discounts for “first online purchase” can only be used once by a customer who has never previously purchased from us online.

  5. Discounts which provide a certain percentage off (“x% off”) or amount off (“£x off”) is limited to one use per transaction. Only offers for “free shipping” may be used in conjunction with other offers.

  6. Discounts for percentages or amounts off are only applied to the total cost of products purchased, not including shipping charges.

  7. Offers for free ring exchanges are provided by us in the form of a refund for cost of postage paid for by the customer. This offer can only be availed of once per order and is subject to valid evidence (e.g. photograph of receipt) of proof of postage.

6. Use of our online services

  1. We do not guarantee that our website will be uninterrupted and error-free. We are not liable for any losses arising from such errors or interruptions.

  2. We reserve the right to edit, suspend, restrict, or terminate access to our website without notice at our absolute discretion.

  3. You may use our website only for lawful purposes. You may not use our website in any way that breaches local, national or international law; in any way that is unlawful or fraudulent; for the purpose of harming, threatening or deceiving others; for the purpose of promoting discrimination, hate, violence or abuse; to send or encourage the sending of unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material (spam); to knowingly attempt to access without authority, interfere with, damage or disrupt any part of our website; to knowingly transmit any material that contains viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time-bombs, keystroke loggers, spyware, adware, or any other malicious programmes or computer code designed to adversely affect the operation of any computer software or hardware.

  4. You may share any of our web pages with others, provided you do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it. You must not establish a link to us in any way that suggests any form of association, approval or endorsement on our part where none exists.

8. Our limited liability

  1. We are not liable for any consequential, incidental, or special damages or losses that arise directly or indirectly from the use of our services or the inability to use our services.

  2. Whilst we agree to use all reasonable endeavours to ensure our service is fully operational and error-free, we cannot guarantee this. In the event of any cause beyond our reasonable control (see clause 9.1) which renders the provision of our services impossible or impractical, we are not liable for any interruption or termination of our services.

9. Circumstances beyond our control

  1. Circumstances beyond our control include but are not limited to: the closure, defaulting, or bankruptcy of our business partners; Acts of God; adverse weather conditions; civil disturbances; acts of terrorism; war; fire; explosion; power failures; telecommunication failures; machine or vehicle failures; theft; malicious damage; industrial action; lockdowns and pandemics.

10. Copyright

  1. We are the sole owner of all intellectual property on our website and social media accounts, including all jewellery designs, text, graphics, photographs, website design, logo and branding; thus, are protected by copyright laws.

  2. You may print, store or display content found on our website for personal use, or in order to draw attention to our products and services (for example, the direct sharing of our social media content where we are tagged in the post), as long as this complies with clauses 6.3 and 6.4.

  3. You may not use, publish, distribute, modify or reproduce any of the materials on our website and social media accounts in any way that suggests that you are the owner; for commercial purposes; or in a way that infringes on clauses 6.3 or 6.4, without our express authorisation.
