Significance of the Thistle:
Common throughout Scotland , the thistle has been a national emblem for centuries. Legend has it that a sleeping army of Scottish warriors was saved from ambush by an invading Norse army when one of the attackers trod on a thistle with his bare feet. His cries raised the alarm, rousing the Scots, who defeated the army, and the thistle was adopted as the symbol of Scotland.
Symbolism of the Celtic Knot:
Celtic knots are complete, endless hoops without any beginning or end. The use of only one thread highlights the Celts’ belief in the interconnectedness of life and eternity. They saw the constant interlacing as the physical and spiritual crossing of paths, expressing permanences and the endurance of life, love and faith.
Significance of Scottish Marble:
A serpentine-rich, greenish white marble found in the Scottish Highlands. Used in jewellery, crafts and buildings, especially churches. Mystical properties include enhanced intuition and protection from misfortune.
As Scottish Marble is a natural stone, the colour and patterns of the stone may vary.
