Scottish Thistle Ring - Double Flower with Scottish Marble
Scottish Thistle Ring with Scottish Marble set in hallmarked 925 Sterling Silver.
Significance of the Thistle:
Common throughout Scotland, the thistle has been a national emblem for centuries. Legend has it that a sleeping army of Scottish warriors was saved from ambush by an invading Norse army when one of the attackers trod on a thistle with his bare feet. His cries raised the alarm, rousing the Scots, who defeated the army, and the thistle was adopted as the symbol of Scotland.
Significance of Scottish Marble:
A serpentine-rich, greenish white marble found in the Scottish Highlands, Scottish Marble has been used in jewellery, crafts and buildings, especially churches. Its mystical properties include enhanced intuition and protection from misfortune.
As Scottish Marble is a natural stone, the colour and patterns of the stone may vary.
